Inserting Hyperlinks in Cascade

Inserting Hyperlinks in Cascade

  • Within a page you can put a link to a page or site
  • You need to select Internal or External link
  • Internal
    • links to documents within your cascade directory
  • External
    • links to documents not in your cascade directory

Inserting an Internal Hyperlink:

  • Highlight the text or select the image that you want to turn into a hyperlink. 
  • Click the “Insert/edit link” button.
  • A new window will open

  • There are two waysin which you can find the page you want to link to.
    1. Click on either the  or  buttons to see a list of suggested files. These files will usually be pages or images that you have just created, uploaded or edited. An example is shown below:
    2. Click on the “Browse” button  to navigate through existing pages and folders. You can locate the page you wish to link. An example is shown below:
  • Locate the internal webpage you want as a link. When found, click on the webpage and select “Confirm”.
  • Click on “Insert”
  • You have now created an internal link

Inserting an External Hyperlink:

  • Highlight the text that you want to turn into a hyperlink.
  • Click the “Insert/edit link” button. 
  • A new window will open. Select the “External” tab.
  • Type or paste the URL you want to link to into the “Link” field.
  • Click on “Insert”
  • You have now created an external link.
