Custom YouTube players

First noticed this on a video when the player bar was red rather than grey.  Looked at the code and realized there were two numbers as part of the embed code that you could change and get different results.  Really great! Here’s a video about how you can change the colors and also the overall […]

Dynamic Dummy Image Generator

Simple.  Could come in handy! Sometimes you just need a placeholder image right at your finger tips. Just enter the width + x + height at the end of this URL and off you go! Example: http://dummyimage.com/600×400

Great way to view “entire” webpages as an image or pdf.  Download the beta version for Macs here. For more information go to: http://derailer.org/paparazzi/

Simply by changing the text at the end of the URL the card appears personalized… could be fun to see if this technology can be brought to a smaller scale holiday card…. http://holiday.barackobama.com/?fname=Melissa http://holiday.barackobama.com/?fname=Jason http://holiday.barackobama.com/?fname=John http://holiday.barackobama.com/?fname=Pat http://holiday.barackobama.com/?fname=Mariah http://holiday.barackobama.com/?fname=Philip http://holiday.barackobama.com/?fname=Jen http://holiday.barackobama.com/?fname=Allynn — well, this one comes out as “Friend,” but still fun!

Leapfish. A quicker Google…

I’m thinking this place ants to be bought by Google. In any event, check out this search engine, Leapfish, that requires no clicking of Search or hitting of Enter. In other words, you type in the search field and results magically appear. Type your zip code in the Weather box and the forecast magically appears. […]

Market Share

I was searching for OS marketshare data to convince my PC-loving friend that Macs are on the up and up, and found this great site that has all sorts of trend data for OS, browsers, etc. W3Schools also has this page. They have an OS page also but it is currently broken.
